A New Month. A New Chapter. A Deeper Journey.

January marked a gentle beginning — a season of stillness, reflection, and returning to quiet spaces with God. I’m grateful for the words that were written and the hearts they touched, even in small ways.

In the final week of January, we experienced a rare winter storm here in Central Texas. Schools closed, businesses paused, and for a few quiet days, life slowed in a way we don’t often allow. Roads were unsafe, schedules were interrupted, and the world outside grew still. What could have felt like an inconvenience became, for many of us, an unexpected invitation to rest.

For me, those quiet days became sacred space. I used the time to solidify my business plans for the new year, spend unhurried moments reading, catch up with dear friends, and enjoy working on creative projects with my hands. It was a reminder that sometimes God uses external stillness to help us notice what needs attention within.

As February begins, I’m stepping into something new.

This year, I’ve recommitted myself to studying Scripture more deeply — not simply reading for inspiration, but lingering long enough for understanding, revelation, and transformation. And as I do, I feel led to let my writing grow from that place: from lived experience, real study, and honest reflection.

Going forward, this blog will become less generic and more personal. Less polished inspiration and more Spirit-led exploration. I’ll be sharing insights from my Bible study, reflections from my own life in this new season, and gentle observations about the world we’re living in — always grounded in faith, never political, and centered on hope and emotional wisdom.

At the foundation of everything I create is Emotional Intelligence grounded in biblical truth. This year, I’m returning to the basics by intentionally naming and practicing these heart skills in each interaction, each piece of writing, and each space I hold. Learning to recognize what’s happening within us, regulate our responses with grace, cultivate empathy, and walk in Spirit-led discernment isn’t an add-on to faith — it’s part of living it out. This is the lens through which my work, my words, and my offerings will continue to take shape.

As I begin creating more video and spoken content this year, these writings will become the well from which everything else flows.

As part of this new rhythm, I’ll be sharing my weekly devotional reflections on Sundays (they were previously posted on Saturdays), offering space to prepare our hearts for the week ahead.

If you’ve been here from the beginning, I’m glad we’re continuing this journey together.
If you’re just now finding the space — I’m glad to have you join this journey with me.

This is a new month.
A new season.
A new chapter.

And I’m so glad you’re here.

With grace and gratitude,
Lori 🤍
