Lord, Help Me Release What No Longer Serves My Spirit

Scripture Anchor

“…But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 3:13–14

Reflection

The Apostle Paul reminds us that spiritual growth often requires letting go. Just like the leaves fall from the trees, we are called to release the past—our mistakes, disappointments, and even our self-imposed limitations. 🌿 God cannot fill hands that are already clinging tightly to yesterday.

Life Application

This week, take a quiet moment with your journal. Write down one thing you know God is asking you to release—fear, a relationship, a habit, or a mindset. Offer it up in prayer, and then write a declaration of what you are making space for instead: peace, joy, freedom, or purpose

Prayer

Lord, give me the courage to release what no longer serves my spirit. Help me to let go of past burdens and open my hands to receive the new thing You are doing in my life. May I press forward with faith, hope, and joy. Amen. ✨

Affirmation

💛 I walk forward in freedom, leaving the past behind.
